Richmond Hill is home to a vibrant community theatre, The Curtain Club Theatre. The club, which started off in members’ homes and grew into its own theatre at Newkirk and Elgin Mills, was famously the setting for the Royal Canadian Air Farce’s first few seasons. After more than half a century of growth, it remains a most successful labour of love. This season features a touching family drama, The Gravitational Pull of Bernice Trimble previewing January 24, and opening January 25.  Mending Fences, a comedy about a father and son reunion, follows at the end of March. The Savannah Sipping Society, a comedy about four Southern women reclaiming their sense of adventure, opens at the end of May. Buy your tickets now! The Curtain Club’s just a short jaunt from Avenue Towns in Richmond Hill.
